Ummm, well, they are likely all dead now ... that hull was a widow-maker. Stock (with the hull updates) it was marginal ... add a lot of mods and that F&@#er would try to kill you. If you want to go fast, definitely hop up a different ski ... I had a ZXI1100, then an Ultra150, then a bunch of Yamahas, now an RXP. I have NEVER been tossed off ANY of my skis EXCEPT the ZXI ... plus it is very difficult to make it go fast. Do some light mods to an Ultra150, a GPR, etc. Or go 4 stroke if you can ...

Check out the link at the top.
That ZXI has a Fiberworks hull.

I agree, my 900 runs around 51 stock and is very unhappy in any type of chop. However, that thing is a blast. I love throwing it around, and it loves throwing me around.

I came off of it once this past summer and hit my butt cheek on the rear corner on the way off .

I kind you not.... the bruise it left was as big as my hand.

I wont let any of my friens ride it because I am afraid they will get hurt.

The 1996s had that problem.....if you fixed the pump shoe ...added Aftermarket sponsons..rideplate and intake grate ....usually in pretty good shape......the stock hulll actuall has a resemblence to the Sea doo X4 hull....just heavier and wider.
The Fiberworks hull was a racing hull that fixed all the problems....so did hte carbon fiber hulls.

PJS, your custom hull ski sounds very cool ... you gotta get that thing in the water! Sounds more like a complete custom ski rather than anything resembling a ZXI anymore ... which is good!
