Thread: Cheap turbo

Ok in my defense (in case this is a pile of steaming sh*t) I no nothing about turbo's except how they basically work. I have been bolting on superchargers on my cars in the past and so my knowledge on turbo's is not much..
Is there a reason this turbo kit is so damn cheap??? Ebay has a bunch of t3/t4 turbo setups for around this price, and if they are crap, why not buy this and have a shop custom make all the plumbing?
Thanks for any input..

reason being it's not a genuine turbo... that's why it's cheap... it's a chinese knock-off or something...
i'm not declaring it good or bad, just saying that's the reason for the price... replica items
they'll say it's a T3/T4 turbo... but not a garrett turbo, just some no name t3
same with the BOV... it's a GReddy clone, some type-s generic chinese BOV... but it ain't no genuine GReddy

Cheap to make, cheap to sell. Expensive to fix when it fails.

Wow...$35 headers, $140 front mount intercoolers w/ piping, $22 lowering springs.
I won't say if it's too good to be true that it is...I just won't be the one to state the obvious.

The problem is the oil seals can't handle allot of oil pressure (more than about 50psi) and tend to blow smoke. If you can find the happy medium between providing enough lubrication without over pressurizing the seals, I've heard stories of them lasting quite a while. Blaast performance can rebuild them and bring them up to par for a couple hundred bucks....not that I condone them or anything
