Holdnon...are you planning on adding these to the 2 stock ones (total of 4 spk) or only replacing the 2 stock ones by these...? I ask because i found a FREE and very good way of improving the sound at first in my 05 C180...just remove the stock speakers, and check if there is a foam baffle that seals the back of the speaker to the hull (kind of like a foam basket covered with aluminium foil).

If there is one....remove that baffle, and reinstall the stock speakers...retest that and let me know how it sounds now...AWESOME hey...? F-R-E-E-B-I-E....!!! More deep bass, now the hull acts as a booming box, I don't know why they did put that, but it sound even better without it in my boat.

I personnally did put 4 Kickers 6.5 inch ones...and they blow the stock Clarion away.

As for the Bazooka 6.5 inch speakers....i can't tell, all i own from Bazooka are bass tube.

I plan on changing the stock Clarion M255 headunit, and maybe adding an hidden 12 inch subwoofer+ a power amp too, and a second auxiliary battery...that way my boat should rock the way i like it.

Let us know your findings about the baffles.

Here's my Kickers 6.5 inch bought from ebay, the front ones are the ones who have been added, at high speeds the sound gets carried at the rear to the boat in the cockpit by the wind...very deep bass pounding at that front location....the front ones does sound even better than the rear ones (just by the bass from the hull).

Running the wires inside the hull to them needed some imagination though...

No I would just be replacing the clarions with the bazookas but if you say remove the baffles from the speakers, then I,m gonna try that first.

Note: Price US 120$...you can them way cheaper on ebay...Sure Alpine is good...but gone is the time they were alone in that segment, but i'd recommend staying with brand names like JL Audio, Infinity, Kenwood, Pioneer, Rockford, and Alpine for sure...forget about the crappy marine ones they sell on any boat shop...these are piece of junk, and do not forget you have to weigh in the fact you always get what you paid for...and yes even in 2008 the same rule applies....the bigger and heavier the magnet...the better they are performing....tiny magnet means crappy as shit sound.

Anyway....just removing the baffles will probably satisfy you to keep the stockers...the improvement is very good...!
