    Nifty New Product I Found

Found this at another website and thought I would share. Just ordered some stuff from them for my GPS, PS3, and iPhone.

Yep, good stuff...here is the 3M version by the foot:

I bought 10' x 4" and covered my ski numbers to keep them from getting scratched on the dock...used the surplus on my Ipod and phone.

Thanks for the great info. Dang it is going to cost me a couple hundred $$ to do some of my projects. It will be worth it though.

The 3m is a lot cheaper. Is it scratch proof? Is it as tough as the other stuff?

Not sure if it is as tough as the other stuff but it is tough...won't scratch when you hit the dock or my ipod and of course, it's not custom cut to fit electronics which adds to the price. I didn't try the piercing trick with a pen.

NCHeel, it passes the puncture with a ball point pen test...I was putting it on my new Nuvi 350 gps screen and had a piece left over. I could not puncture it with a ball point pen. Looks like good stuff. You just have to cut your own.

Does it apply the same way? Solution and squeegee, or is it adhesive backed?

Yep, solution and squeegee. It recommends 3 drops of baby shampoo in 32 oz of water, spray it on and squeegee it out. Worked good on my ski. On the Nuvi I just sprayed the film and put it on and squeegeed it out. I ordered the 4" x 10 ft to do my ski numbers and I had some leftover for little things.

i didnt think it was necessary to start a thread for this next questions, and it was lafjax response that reminded me.

Does anybody know any letters and numbers that look cool to put on my RXP-X that will match with the orange, grey, and silver???
