    stock class racing in PA

I am just a recreational rider, but have always been into fast skis. I would like to try stock class racing. I am wondering what my options would be in the PA area. I would also only be available to race on sundays.

    Ski reccommendations would help too.

    thanks!

Here is Region 8's tour schedule. http://www.apbaracing.com/sched_region8.html
Also has the promoter's email and phone #.

As for what ski I'd say if you still have your rxps to race one of those. Going off the 2007 APBA stock class rules you can have riva pro opas block offs, RR ecu, 4" air intake, prop, intake grate, ride plate, sponsons, RR or Riva thermostat, steering and handle bars can be changed along with seat cover. The APBA still haven't come out with the 2008 rule changes, but I'm pretty sure all that will still stay the same.

What are you going to try closed course or supercourse?

Yeah you'll be able to race both and race sunday. I'm not 100% if region 8 will have Supercourse, but I doubt they would drop it completely.

I would receommend to get there early on sunday for your first race so the promoter can give you the rundown about everything being a new racer and everything. Plus you'll also need to have a course marshall take you around the course a few laps so you know how the course goes.

Scott, Have you heard yet where the round 7 july 26 and round 8 the 27th are going to be held at yet? Looks like you get rounds 9-10 in your backyard again. Mike

nope I haven't heard anything about that yet. I know AJ was talking about doing wildwood, NJ for 2008 or just doing lake anna twice. Gotta love having a race 15mins from my house. Especially when that is basically the same place I practice lol.
