    Canadians Still getting Ripped OFF!!

So what do we do here in Canada to get Sea-Doo to stop screwing us Royally!!!

An RXT-X listes for $13,299 in the US and $17,599 in Canada even tough they are made here and the dollars are the same!!!

A $4300 differnence is down right criminal!!

Not only that, BRP , told US dealers not to sell to Canadians!!!

What do we do , boycott?

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do. Regardless of newspaper articles, letters, phone calls to BRP etc.. They will not move [my prediction]. They offer some cheesy little rebate for cdns but don't expect anything further.
Unless a dealer can give me a good deal, I along with a friend will buy in the US. There is a few things you need to do (paperwork and have a US citizen buy it for you) but the 3-4K savings is worth no warranty and the hassle.
    good luck.

It seems that Yamaha has come to the plate. I wonder if doo will follow.

Doubt it. They have the entire market here. Yammi is no threat. Trust me I wish they would, so I don't have to buy elsewhere but I highly doubt it will happen. How long do they expect people to wait. The little rebat they are offering is only good until jan 31. Then what? People are moving on.

I moved to the US from Canada, whenever I go back I compare prices and find myself shocked. The Seadoo prices are just one example of how you are getting screwed. Unbelievable that they think people are morons and would pay that kind of premium "no questions asked". Maybe a group buy would be a way to get a better deal

dhoad...normally you are right, a group buy does save you a little more. I had planned along with 4 other guys to do a group buy. Two guys said the hell with it and bought in the US. One guy decided to stay with his current rxt because of the high prices and he did not want to go through the hassle of buying south of the border. So now it is just down to two of us.
However when the differences are 4k, no dealer up here can even come close. I guess we shouldn't complain. People in other parts of the world are worse off. UK for example are paying almost double what the US pays. At least that is what one forum member mentioned.

Yep, here in Australia I paid $$19,500.00 AUD

    =

    $17,249.05 USD

for my 10hr old 07 wake edition out the door (no trailer or extra's). Nice unit but high priced.
I'd like to start buying 07 models from the US to sell to guys like us here in AU. Similar to importing cars from Japan.
I think the UK and NZ are even worse for their prices.

I feel bad for you folks as well.
The reason we are pissed off is because they are built here. I can drive to their factory in less than 3 hours. Someone that lives 3000 miles (5000km) away from here in a different country can buy it for $4000 less.
