    Seperating top & bottom hull

Has anyone ever split a sea doo hull before? I am doing a project that will be difficult without parting the top and bottom. Any horror stories on this one or has it been a successful move? If so any tips one way or the other?

I saw a "how it's made" show on Discovery channel on the SeaDoo factory and this robotic arm squirts a huge thick bead of some green glue to join the 2 halves........I'm sure this would be a nightmare to seperate.......but never tried....I'm sure there is a way.....sorry for not helping

I AM IN THE SAME BOAT AS FAR AS NEEDING TO SEPERATE THE 2 HALVES BUT DO TO THE STRENGTH OF THE GLUE I DECIDED TO LEAVE THEM TOGETHER AND JUST DO MY BEST TO WORK AROUND IT. BUT IF YOU MUST SPLIT THEM TRY USING A SAWZALL. THAT SHOW "HOW ITS MADE" IS A GREAT SHOW. I LOVE IT. HAVENT SEEN THE SEADOO ONE YET THOUGH. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PROJECT

I am looking for a scrap sea doo to cut a chunk of bonded upper and lower out of. I have an infra-red non-contact thermometer that I plan to use on the test piece, and with a heat gun I should be able to determine the temp. that the bond let's loose at. Also, I plan on seeing the point that the fibreglass is harmed. Hopefully, there will be a large temp difference of safety to work in. I'll post my results. I should be able to come up with a piece this weekend. (that's a piece of fibreglass, so no jokes!)

Thanks to all, but I scrapped the idea of parting the two halves in lieu of cutting out a good sized piece of the top hull the work through. Damn, it's hard to make the first cut into the mint condition fiberglass hull! Reminds me of the time I installed a sun roof in a two week old Camaro. The first hole was hard to make yourself drill into the roof.
