    2 questions on waverunners

or i guesss the kind of go together, how would a person in the garage wax the bottom of there waverunner, mine is on a trailer, any suggestions ( explain to me simple please as i still learning these things) i assume you use simple marine wax also..? no room under trailer to do it and the bunks in teh way also.

and if you have minor scratches on the bottom or a few in the top, not thru the paint, just those ones that irritate you, how woudl you get rid of them, is it possible...

When I wax the bottem of mine I put a jackstand under the front of the trailer it gives me just enough room to get under and wax it. I just dont wax where the bunks are, it's a tight squeeze to wax it on the trailer but it can be done. as for wax, a marine wax works fine but i think im using Aircraft wax its the same as any other wax put on wait a minute or 2 then wipe it off.

Never wax the bottom, sand it

This is where Steve and I disagree. I would rather have the added protection that the wax offers than the extra .01mph you would get from a sanded hull. Besides, I like mine with lots O shine.

i catch both eyes on the back and lift with a cherry picker (engine hoist) leaves the entire bottom of the hull exposed for doing whatever. I actually spray a thin layer of clear coat every so often to keep the hull from getting scarred from beaching.
