my last oil change was at 25 hours

When should I be considering my next oil change ? filter ? any recomendations, I know there is a big arguement over synthetic or not, but I'm not running synthetic right now ...

Personally on a stock to lightly modded boat I would change it every 25-30 hrs. more frequently if you are running high boost. going 50 as recommended is too long IMO if you are keeping the boat long term.

Here in aussie land some of our dealers say to do it every 50 hours some every 25.

I do mine every 25 hours thats just the way i like it, with the new mods i have now i will probly do it sooner. i always check the oil level before i ride and top up as needed.

For all the money we spend on the Skis as well as all the Mods, I will not skimp out on oil changes, especially when it is running at 8550 RPM's for all those hours..
As far as synthetic oil goes, as long as it is JASO-MA rated, like the Amsoil for instance, it is the ideal way to go for the person who really cares about his chit.

I remember when I spent $30 a weekend in oil in my 2 smokes and well over $300 a summer, so I don't even worry about the cost now as we are lucky as hell to be able not to change the oil or use it as a 2 stroke would. That said, I do mine 25hours.

Tip: You can never change the oil too much (vehicles included).
I follow a 25hr service interval on my ski as well.

I am with you. The oil is the life blood of the engine. Say for an example, if it were $10-15 more than petroleum oil change. Just do not eat out at McDonalds or a fast food 2-3 times or Starbucks 3 times and there is your difference. Just how I think. I know other people different.

I run the Amsoil recommended for wet clutches formula 4 or something like that in my 05 RXP and haven't had any issues.......it feels more powerful but it's all in my head.......it's JASO-MA certified stuff.....great oil
