loss RPM's but gain hook up in chop

Hey went to test my ski today with the bolts under stock trim tabs have 2 washers under the 8 bolts and 1 washer on each side of ride plate in the front only. Look good and nothing is hanging below the hull line.

My rpm's drop about 60 and gps it 65.8 max speed. I think im going to take the washers out of the rideplate and leave the ones in for the tabs.

    What you guys think?

    Thanks.

Tanny,do not run washers under those plastic tabs.Get a good aftermarket set.I have a set of Riva's for sale in the classifieds.Did you just do the mods that you have listed?

Jims 1300 taught me that the most angle with washers under the tabs was best. It worked for me.

Tanny - I have a set of metal stockers from a 00 boat. Many feel this is the best option for a GPR $55 shipped.

other choice would be cut R&D or Riva tabs.

good chance with that year trim tab's and shimming that they will distort, you may bust ass.how checking speed?
woody's trim tab's little thicker that stock, stock tab may need shiming BUT what kind of water you ridering in(real that speed not to bad for your set up)

now thats a good deal . Way better than the plastic ones and much cheaper then R&D or RIVA. The grooves will help with tracking

tanny ive been running the 05 plastic tabs for a season now spaced and had no problems with distortion and there checked every so often..

not saying they wont distort just i have not see it,grab the early ones offered to you and get them cut if needed once you have found your sweet spot on the plastic tabs..

my pm to you about washers under tabs was on jims performane recomendation ..
