stage 3 rxp
On the river today and was racing an rxp at top end speed. he had me by a couple miles an hour so he was maybe 70. so i stopped to see if he wanted a go from a STOP. He had me by 2-3 boat lengths. turns out he said it was a stage III rxp. does that sound right or shuold the 250 have been staying with him on the acceleration. just wondering if my ski is gettin slow from the start. riva ride plate is all i have and i think a slight leak in boost. Gettin the BOV block off. Also i would think a stage III should be moving faster than 71 ish. MAn i really hate losing.

stage 3 rxp vs 250x
first of all LUV my 250x,.
have owned both boats in question
stg 3 should easily beat from standing start a STD 250x
so far to date have won 70% of my standing start drags,
and mainly only get beat by none std RXP's,
how ever when we continue to race further out on to choppy water
Big red barge says see ya sea-poo and leaves them for dead.
as long as they stay and play.
go play / race in the rougher water and than see who wins
any way enjoy your ride at the end of the day
you own a 3 seater 250x
he owns a 2 seater rxp
enjoy it ( its all about fun in the sun)
we are only hear for a good time not a long time so enjoy it
this is my 2 cents

If he has a Stage III & is only doing 71 mph he has major problems. He should be doing in the upper 70's at a minimum depending on his total mods.

Ya, thats all pretty much what i thought. So if this rxp is only going 71 but can beat me off the line one of us has real problems. I hope its not me however i just hit 200 hrs. oil change every 25 hrs. only probs have been spark plugs at 90 and 180 hrs and of course oil in gas. i hthink im just really leaking boost. from a stop and gun the boost only goes to about 7 or 8 psi then builds up to 10 maybe 11. when i run it hard it keeps the boost numbers up there. im thinkin that when i did the BOV modification i didnt use any additional sealant and maybe its starting to leak there now. anyhow ive got the BOV block off coming. im really thinking that is gonna get the boost where it should be.
Its realy not about racing for me. just enjoy exploring. just wanting to know if i had major problems or anything. kinda want this motor to go so i can get a new one under warranty but that would be just way too sweet.
