    Carb question

I rebuilt my XL 1200 carbs and did the full kits with a pop off test and new needle and seats I was breaking in the ski and it ran like crap so I pulled the F/A's and saw the center pouring gas from the venturi?? is that a needle and seat stuck open ? ps I have delt with a ton of mikuni's but never had to figure the trouble shooting ? Thanks Z

What was your set-up (N&S and spring)? this is a 65U motor correct. if it is too low they will dribble I have had this issue in the past. I ran 1.5 and gold spring it took care of the dribbling

It is a 65u ! the wash on one and three looked good it is the 1.5 N&S (brand new ) and some stupid pop off like 65 ( factory )psi but I just ordered 2.0 to bring it down since I installed k&N style filters however that was before I discovered the dribbling issue!

1.5 is plenty you will have more issues with the 2.0 IMO try a pop-off of 55 with the set-up I listed earlier, worked great in my 65U. 100 lows across the board and 135 highs

Z, that motor needs silly high popoff. 55 may still dribble occasionally.

thanks guys! I had the 2.0's on the way but I'll shelve them! I ordered carbon techs and some different jetting before I discovered the dripper!! does anyone think that 102.5 lows would be a big deal? my local guy didn't have 100's so I ran the 102.5 but I have the 100's now in my hand is it worth swapping?? I appreciate the help!! Thanks Z

The OEM was 92.5, 95, 97.5 cylinder #1-3 respectively 102.5 is going to be fat 100 is near the fat side but can be dealt with by adjusting the t-handles. I would go with the 100's
