    Heads

    i want to shave my heads.. i ahve amechanic that can shave but i dont know wwhat to shave them to.. i currently have 130 psi and parts listed below..i dont want to run race gas just pump gas (92)

    Look at the head, there is a lip on the combustion chamber. You can safely mill that lip off. You can measure it but I'm guessing its around
    .030- .040" ?? That should put you around 140-150lbs.

    If you go further than that your getting into the squish band. Then it would have to be cut.

    so just mill it flush?

    He is saying mill the "step" off the head and do not get into the squish band. The squish band must measure 84mm on the outside edges, or you will have a big problem.

    140-150 psi i safe to run pump fuel..i was told anythign after 150 you have to rn high octane..how tru is that?

    Some people get away with more than 150lbs on 93 octane, but there are many variables - timing, fuel mixture, head design, weather, just to name a few.

    But yes, you will be fine in the 150-155lbs area.
