    difference between 5131081 and 3021009 cylinders

    Can anyone tell me the difference between the two cylinders?

    Can you tell me how that effects power, rpm, and jetting? The reason I ask is the '97 SLTX I just bought has 009's but one needs repair (re-sleeve). The 1050 I bought lastnight ( From a '98 SLHX) has the 81's. I'm not going to mix and match so If I use the 81's what real world difference is there? Can the 81 be ported to match? If I re-sleeve the 009 will I have to buy a sleeve for the 009 or does the machinist "work" the sleeve to match the old one?

    Having a higher exhaust port will shift the power band towards the top end. The 81's will have a bit more lowend torque.
    The 97 jetting (main) is 138 pto 142 mag & center.
    98 135 pto & 140 mag & center.
