    Different look!? Help decide

I am looking to make my ski look a little different this summer. As Woody said, new power needs a new look.

So should I stick with the stock 2004 Blue sides or go with the 2005 Black sides? The 2005 sides new cost 160 bucks shipped to me. I also plan to go with a decal kit of some sort down the road. That could come this summer or over the next winter, one of my stock decals is coming off slightly.

I know it is really a personal preference but I am torn between the two colors.

Another idea I have is to do a seat like the ski I attached. I emailed who I thought was the owner of this ski but never got a reply back. It looks like the foam was just redone in the back and a custom seat cover was made. Any idea on who did this work?

I really like the 2008 blue cowlings. It would be one of a kind...so far.

No prob...I couldnt believe when the black on the 05 cowlings were the same color of my 03 XLT. It looks great on the trailer that way.

Do you have problems with swirl marks with the black? I have had 3 different black cars and swirl marks are a painnnn. That is the really almost that only think holding me off from going black. Do you have a pic of your ski you can post?

Why buy new cowlings? why not just get your original ones painted? thats what I'm doing (already had a badly scratched set painted which look great, now I'm getting my 03 cowels painted black like the 05)... much cheaper (here in the land of Oz anyways).

Painting them is also an idea. The shop I take my cars to is expensive though and it is sadly the only place in the city that knows how to get it right IMO. I think it would be about the same to paint the stocks as to buy new yamaha painted ones of any color. Then I could possibly sell my old ones to make up some of the cost. I forum member is currently painting my rear grab handle for me at his shop. Sadly though the side panels would be a big pain to ship to him.

    Another question.

For the people that have had their whole ski painted how much did it run you? I have been crazy about this ski

since the first time I saw in on a poster at the marina in 1999. That blue is just too sharp lol. Painting my ski though is most likely just a dream though at this point. Not enough money.
