it just helps out on hole shot. it reduces cavitation. i didn't see any gains on top end. cavitation is very bad. read about cavitation in this link...http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthre...ght=cavitation

so i guess it's a similar idea to filling ride plate holes in a way have you tried the anti cavitation cone? does it work well?

like altezza its made to help cavitation...

i had horrible cavitation, started out running fuel cleaner through my gas lines.. worked a tiny bit..

then replacd impeller, and nose cone.. and still had it from like 0-12mph and it would take off...

installed the pump seal kit, and fixed it! Best thing to do if you have cavitation, if you don't have cavitation... don't think it would hurt to have it on there..

the pump seal kit with plenty of silicone arount it should negate the need for an anti cavitation cone

from what i was told the cavitation cone is a waste of money. the stock one should do. when you put the pump seal kit on fill the voids with a little bit of silicone so the plugs won't come out or get loose. once the plugs are in make sure to sand the excess sticking up. make it nice and smooth. and make sure you use 4200. if you use 5200 you won't get the darn thing off. and when you put the shoe back in put a piece of wood on a jack and jack up the ski right under the shoe to ensure a complete seal. there is a "how to" post for installation.
