Jerry - Loss of rpm - loss of speed
I think you and I are fighting the same problem. I have lost appx 250 rpms and 2 mph. Down from 8450 rpms to 8250 and 76 mph to 74. I never noticed this last year until a few more mod's. It appears that the more modified the rxp's are the more you notice the heat fade.

David, i agree 110% that the more you mod them the more susceptible they are to heat fade. If you only lost 2 mph in the heat you are doing good. I gained speed today by bumping up my cam timing a hair and attaching a big ass hose to my Riva Power Filter and running it up thru a hole i cut in the hood and into the front storage bucket area.

Remember when I altered my riva intake by running a hose to the front "underseat" intake opening?
I also wrapped the entire intake, back to the supercharger, with 1" thick, aluminized, heat reflecting, insulated tape.
I'm still convinced that this is one of the reasons the ski is running so well... even in warm temps. Every cfm of air entering the SC is from OUTSIDE the hull.
I was glad to hear you found the bolt inspite of what was surely a frustrating moment. I actually popped a beer and made a silent "toast of relief" when I read that you recovered it.
Give 'em hell,

rx4pain, I added the speed nossle and lost 3 mph so i went back to the stock one. Glen would have reworked it however, I decided to stay with the stock one.

I have the 81 mm venturi too but have yet to add the big mods like the IC and Vortech. Plus I put on the venturi prior to GPS therefore I don't know what it did or didn't do. Thankfully (except for the money) the nozzle isn't difficult to swap out.
