    Running a modified oem head

I have been wondering about this for a while.

would it be advisable to run a modified stock head (raised ompression) on my '03 Gp1300R without an addon EFI controller.

i dont want to purchase and addon efi controller atm, because im hoping the advent T4 will come out for the EFI GPR.

Maybe this will help with the decision. Advent's stated price is $1450 USD for the new T4

I'm no expert, but I would think you're looking at a high risk of a lean seizure by running a 150psi milled head with no added fuel.

You could always sell the controller or keep it as a backup for when the T4 takes a dump like it will.

I was promised one almost a year ago when my T3 took a dump for the 3rd time. Don't hold your breath!

    I vote no efi.

With just the head milled there should be plenty of fuel at WOT. Even if you add reeds your #3 pot would be 1 - 2. At lower rpm your burning the fuel more efficiently, not more of it. This adds heat but at lower rpm that should not be a problem.

My only concern would be a mid-range stumble at 5k but I doubt it.
