    compression check

When checking compression on an 05 rxp do I need to ground plug electrode against head/block.
I understand the 5-10% rule across all three holes, but is a good number considered 145lbs?
    thanks

When checking your engine compression you should unplug all 3 coils from your engine, open your throttle body all the way, and crank your engine around four times over, till your maximum compression reading shows on your gauge. It should read around 120-135psi on an 05 RXP. It is advised for better readings to warm-up the engine before performing compression.
