Take a pair of vice grips to the rubber coated nuts to keep them from spinning, Grasshopper.

You will need the needle nose type vice grips on a few. I usually order new inserts and screws when I replace one.

The new screws have that pre-applied loctite on them. I wire brush this off it is not needed.

Yep, vice grips are the key but you end up destroying most, if not all of the nuts if they slip.

I got all new hardware from Yamaha, it was pretty cheap.

Here's some part numbers for ya:

    90381-05041-00 BUSH,SOLID $0.63
    90111-05001-00 BOLT $0.57
    90179-05800-00 NUT $0.63

8 of each if you are replacing all.

I removed mine to replace it with a brand new one.

Looks like a new ski again.

The other guys might be putting on CF ones or whatever...

Some people have also been known to dill holes under the visor to allow air in. They add holes in their bucket also.

the top of the visor is up in the front so it's a little less wind resistance and a cool race-ghetto look to itlol i like it at least it' supposedly a .6 mph gain but i'm really just doing it for the looks and might be getting a cf one sometime soon
