HELP. Intake grate bolts will not come out.
Well, I took the rear intake grate bolt out then tried to take out the other two above it and they both spin. Now what? Any help would be great.

The inserts broke loose. take out whatever bolts are not spinning then pull the grate out and the inserts will come out with it. Re epoxy the inserts back in.

I took the far rear 10mm out and the 13mm front bolt out, but the grate will not come off. seems like the 2 in the inserts are spinning, but will not let the grate loose. Or is there sealer holding it also?

make sure that you pull the grate strait down.......you do not want to try to pry or twist the grate as it may crack the pump shoe holes where the inserts go and the last thing you want to do is replace the pump shoe..........buddy of mine did this

put a helmet and goggles on and do a couple pull ups on the back end of the grat......if there is silicone there it won't stand up to a pull up

put a soldering iron on it or a small torch for a few seconds will heat up the plastic so it will come out. My wifes did this but all fixed now, that was 2 yrs ago though

OK. I'll try to heat them fist and pull the rear down. I can't believe this. What type of epoxy should i use to put the inserts back in.

I've never had both do this at the same time.....pulling one at a time was TUFF..........you are in for a struggle unless someone has some inside info......Just get some marine epoxy.......I found some 2 ton epoxy that has 2,000 lb strength ( i guess thats why it's called 2 ton ) it has held up since day one

If it's got a holding strength of 2000lbs....wouldn't it be called....1 ton epoxy?
