thru hull with OPAS
tried a search and didnt find what i was looking for...
Looking to see if i can do a thru hull (with the GH Box) and keep the OPAS on an RXT. Any links, pics, or insight is much appreciated. thanks
Is it doable? Hole location? PIA factor... looking to keep the ski user friendly.

I can not say forsure but I do not think that the thru hull location will allow for the opas. I think the opas internals are in the way. I think that I read some where that someone did a rotax water box exhaust with opas.
I believe that someone did keep the opas with side exit exhaust. So I think the answer to GH box is no.

I could be wrong, but I haven`t heard of any rear exhaust with the OPAS installed. I actually used the OPAS opening to tighten up the "T" bolt clamps on the outlet...
Maybe someone will chime in with a better answer.
Have you considered removing the OPAS and installing RE`s or PRO BO`s?
They actually do the GTX/RXT hull some good!...PR...

I know Shibby has done or knows someone who has done this on a RXP.I would guess that if it could be done on a RXP it could be done on a RXT.
Your gonna have to move the outlet hole a little so youll probley have
to bend the pipe a little too..Maybe Shibby will chime in on this.

I dont know of any off the shelf items that will work this way.
It will take some fabbing, but can be done. Just need some ingenuity.

Me no, would ditch em in a heart beat... however the ol man who rides the ski the majority of the time wants to keep em... ski is used by all in the family so I do see his point. Nothing like watching someone trying to dock the ski and...
I know alot of has been mentioned re: RE and riva block offs but i have also heard a few say under 75 they're just not worth it... right now, if i do have to block them off it will prolly just be a cheap set..
More concerned with hole location and cutting into something that really weakens the hull. Im wondering if a couple silicone 45's with a small strait pipe, will doo the trick. What bothers me is trimming the shorty box to make it all work???

yup... i've done two of them
piece of cake to install a thru-hull while leaving OPAS on the ski... plenty of negotiability with that thru-hull pipe and couplers
just work your way from the inside out
