Does the hood come off to get the trim off?

Before I tear into my RXP. I would like to know if I need to take the actual hood off to get my chrome trim off?
I don't want to break anything, so I would like to know were all the fasteners (Nuts) are first.

    chrome

just did this. As Danny said...the top chrome piece will require removal of the hoses. The side pieces have screws in the side. The hood is pretty easy to take off and put back on. I have mine all apart and I am not worried about putting it back.

I went through this a few weeks ago. its not hard but you need to pay attention to detail and also be patient to not break the clips.

I found the best way was to remove the hood from the ski. Use a towel or something like it to set the hood on it.
Then remove all the screws on the inner side of the hood. (pay attention there are some you can see all the way at the bottome near where the shock goes atttached. There are also for bigger screws under the hoses. make sure to remove those.
Also towards the front of the hood, there are two allen screws also holding it together.
By now, it should be ready to fall apart. It shouldnt really need to much force to snap the peices apart.
and finally the chrome trim has some small screws holding it also. once they are removed, apply a little bit of pressure to all of the tabs a little at a time. Once it snaps off, wipe the hood down and install the new one.

REVERSE to assemble. Hope this helps. just really requires some patience...

putting the hood on sucks, the two tiny bolts at the bottom by the hinge are a terrible location. but besides those two not to bad
