Permatex RTV Silicone , which type?

Anyone know which is more adhesive or better ?
They have black, grey, blue, copper (and some others). I've used blue for my intake grate bolt holes and it worked great hasn't removed in about 40 hours.
What is the difference when it is Ultra ?
I've used the black to put in my block-off for the IC. Should I have used grey or blue or some other version ?

I find that regular silicone is decent for above the waterline, but the Ultra Black is better for below the water line, it has excellent sealing , adhesion and expansion quality`s...PR...

The ultra version is low modus, less acidic, the different types, blue ,black, red all have dif characteristic such as temp, o2 sensor safe etc...

I've been using the blue around the grate/rideplate just because I can see it. Make it easier for cleaning up the edges. If blue sucks I'll go with the ultra black. I thought blue might be the same as black but just have a different specification.

I believe the Ultra grey to be O2 sensor safe, which doesn`t have the harmful odor to kill the o2 sensors, but the reg RTV blue has it`s limited uses and our ski`s is one of them...PR...

man, as much stuff as you find on the 'net I'm surprised that you have not been on their website researching this. I have for other sealers and loc-tite but not these silicones.
