    oh boy can it get any worse

    im offically the idoit that can ruin a crank dureing the off season



    any ideas of what the matter , what needs to be done , who to get in contact with , and ultimately how much is this gonna cost

    Well, I am assuming that is a picture of the crank looking in from the intake port.

    I am guessing that the orange color is rust?

    How did moisture get into the engine?

    -water ingestion?
    -do you fog it if it sits unused for very long?
    -do you blow the exhaust out after pulling the ski from the water?

    couldnt tell ya how it got that way but i couldnt have fogged to prevent this ,

    i only could fog the clys at the time becuase the starter

    so i guess the main bearings are gone ?

    There will be no way to tell how much damage there is untill you get it pulled appart.

    Didn't you say that the crank is seized? If so, then you will need to rebuild.

    If it's pumping oil the last time you ride it,the crank should stay wet with oil for a while.If the bearings are getting hot,they will dry up faster,have light rust from condensation,hard to call from just a picture.
    Was it down on power,last time out?
    Did you replace the starter? Get it to turn over by hand?
    If it's real cold ,it will be tight.
