Why when it is less then $70 and you will be down less then 30 minutes? Take it to a dealer and you may get the ski back in a week, if you are lucky.

I don't think BRP would authorize such a claim and even if they did, the time, gas, and frustration aren't worth it

Figured maybe they would just hand me one at a certain amount of hours.

if your wear ring gets worn out, it's due to user error (shallow water or sucking things up)

now if u didn't suck anything up and stay in deep water, than MAYBe you have a plastic pump in your SC ski, which they no longer do, so still no.

and if u have a metal pump and stay in deep water and never sucked anything up and your wear ring is kinda grooved.... then i guess ur ski isn't quite stock, now is it.....

So they can claim that the stock wear ring will last 4 years. They give you oil for free during the maintenance oil change. Why not a wear ring after like 100 hours?

I would think that is considerrd a wear item. Only reason (I feel) BRP is doing SC clutches is to save face and not end up belly up with these things.

huh??? where does it say wear ring lasts 4 years first of all... and yea, that's assuming u don't suck anything up, stay in 3+ feet of water, and have a stock machine

free oil? since when?? that's a DEALER thing if ur gettin free oil, bc BRP ain't givin you a single quart of oil for free nor any maintenance oil change for free

Maybe it's different in NY. My dealer hear had something called a pit pass. I payed for a pit pass and warranty. Pit pass gives me oil changes/winterizing and I think maintenance stuff for free. Also if I want some work done I get a discounted labor charge. Maybe I should just call them and see what they cover.

maybe you bought the BRP BEST Extended PLUS... which includes warranty for 4 years, 10 hour service, winterizing, and oil changes....

if it's not that, then whatever you got it totally independent of seadoo and through your dealer only. BRP does not give oil, wear rings, or anything else

Yes I think that's it. So it just includes the 10 hour, oil changes and winterization ? I remember them saying something about a discount on labor also.
