    Am i running lean???

Finally got around to bolting in my B Kit, went for a test ride and code P0544 popped up on the dash... My egt sensor looks ok, plenty of water coming out the exhaust on the hose.. Im running standard intake, prop which has been tweaked, but ive got the piranha ic installed.. I thought with the standard intake i would be ok?? Im guessing im running lean??? or would the egt sensor faulty??? My rpms are 8160..

Sounds like your sensor is acting up.

    P0544
    Exhaust gas temperature sensor fautly
To know if your running lean you will need to hook up an A/F meter.

Restricted water flow to the exhaust. Look for a kinked water line going to the intercooler and exhaust manifold.

Would a clogged intercooler cause this?

yes a clogged ic would do this too.

You can't run a b kit with external ic even with the stock air intake. Put the stock ic back in or run a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. Running lean is not the reason for your high temp alarm though. You may check for a hole or broken baffle in your water box. Running lean could cause a hole and that would set off a high temp alarm.

Thanks for your input, im running a groco strainer put it in the same time when i fitted the ic... Will check my water lines and fit the fpr and see how it goes...Never had the code flash up before, only since i fitted the B kit...

also check the clamps on your 'J" pipe as they go into the water box, this was my problem I removed one clamp and only use 2 just make sure they are not blocking the 3 little holes on the J pipe
