    slx 780 install

When you install a rebuilt slx 780 engine do you leave the coupler on the engine or do you slip it on to the drive shaft? What is the proper way.

You should have the pump pulled out of the boat while changing out the engine.
Install the coupler onto the crank.
    Install Driveline/Pump.

Welcome to the Hulk. You will want to make sure the pump is aligned with the new engine. Otherwise you may have excessive vibration and premature coupler and/or impeller wear. Beerdart rents the alignment tool if you shoot him a PM.
