Thread: Hi temp warning

    Hi temp warning

I have a full stage 3 rxp and the temp warning keeps going off at WOT. I have back flushed the intercooler a few times but it is not helping. If i block the hose on top of the jpipe then the alarm does not go off but it looses rpm. I have checked all the pipes and even the small holes in the jpipe that spray into the waterbox and cannot find anything. Anyone have some info of sorting out this problem.

The closed loop cooling is fine. Its the open loop cooling that is giving me the problem.

bypass the intercooler water lines (connect direct to the exhaust)
If your problem goes away then you still have a clogged intercooler.

    Good luck!

charger, if you run your ski with the intercooler core bypassed, you'll melt a piston in 10 mins at WOT, belive me i did it, theres to much heat from the supercharger, your best bet is to remove the intercooler compleatly empty the water core, put your mouth over the inlet or outlet and try to breath thru it, if you can't breath propley thru it, its partially blocked, the only remidy i found to unblock them is useing a caustic soda mix and a high pressure jet wash, this only works once though,

Hey have you being running a strainer on it? If not what fault code do you get when the temp light is on? Is your water box gutted or stock? Have your ski being sitting for a long time. Those are things we need to know before answering anything, (I suppose). Also check your EGT sensor it might be malfunctioning .

It stood for about 2 months thats all but its prety new and never did it when it was brand new. There must be something inside that i cannot flush out. The waterbox is stock with riva exhaust kit. Will it make a difference if i ride the boat with the pipes connected the wrong way for a long ride maybe it will blast everything back out.

Charger, Jerry nailed it, IC is likely blocked. Check out this thread: http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=43400
