Thread: New Server
01-30-2008, 09:51 AM #1
Jerry and I just ordered the new greenhulk.net server. I should have it up and running over the next few weeks.
This server will eliminate the annoying nightly server too busy message and take care of our projected summer traffic.
Hang in there!

I was in the middle of a thread last night were Jerry and Shibby were trying to help me out with questions, and had just finished typing to submit and my computer just set there. I could of swore it was my computer but, eventually after about 30 minutes It showed your message.
technology is an on growing process with success. In our business we would always be having probs, if it weren,t for out IT specialist. I do not no how ya,ll do it.

Just out of curiosity, What did you end up with. I got a server from IBM not too long ago, and it set us back almost 15K. I am assuming that we don't require something of this size.
How do we as Hulksters help to fund the upkeep and maintenance of the IT for the site? I don't remember paying a service fee, lol. Odd enough, I'm not sure I would mind....

vBulletin MessageThe server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later.
I hate that message and no one at my house understands the shaking and rolling on the floor in the fetal position!

We are currently using up 400 gigs per month
We got an Intel Xeon 3060 Dual Core Conroe Processor with 250GB SATA hd, 4 gigs ram, 2500 GB bandwidth a month
For performance parts
For OEM replacement parts

we didn't buy the server, it's hosted at theplanet. This place will scream after the upgrade. I hope to work on it this weekend. I don't care much about the superbowl so I'll have plenty of time. I'll also be able to bring back the casino and turn on many features I turned off to save cpu usage.
