Hell YEAH they should.
CT has banned this, but the problem is they dont seem to enforce it alot.
I wana see stories in the paper about the 100 or so people who got tickets for this stuff each day.
The drivers around her eon cell phones are awful!

Some people cannot drive, period. What makes them think they can talk on the phone and drive at the same time?

I talk on the cell phone while i'm driving but when I do I place the phone on speakerphone so I have both hands available to drive. I use the voice activation so I'm not fumbling to dial a number and I only talk on the phone while driving if it's necessary.
Some people YES definitely should not use the cell phone and drive at the same time because they lack the skills necessary to do so. But in this day and age everybody thinks they are a rock star and that they can do anything. Time to put limits on those that are not able to the things that others can do. Not just cell phones but anything else.
Sometimes it's important to call someone and if they happen to be in a car driving they should be able to answer but they have to have the technology and know how. It should be part of drivers ed. Drivers education should be more like racing schools and not just turning left and right and parking.

Yes they should ban them. I have probulbly come close 2 being run over on my bike atleast 10 or more time by idiots on the cell phones driving. while we are on the driving subject they should make it mandatory that after age 65 you should have to take a test every year. some of them have no business on the road what so ever

Just like havin someone in your car.
No they shouldnt ban them, i talk on it all the time, I have to, business and home phone is the cell phone. I figure I have text messaged people doing 80 on a motorcycle, talking while driving isnt that bad.
Jersey already has it banned.

CT. hasn't banned the use of them totally, users must be "handsfree." Also, if we're going to ban things based on safety criteria alone, then music, children, pets and eating should be illegal also. I have no kids, so why should I be subjected to driving around on roads full of people carrying the #2 distraction with them??? Obliviously that's extreme, but I hope you can see my point. Like Rocket said, just something to think about.
