Are the RXPX wear rings going to have the same issue as the RXP?
Just bought my rxpx so its time to say goodby to the 04 rxp 194 hrs. never in the shop except for wear rings.
Thanks for any help

Hey welcome to the FORUM.... . Congratulations on your new PWC Unit. To answer your question if the wear ring on the RXP-X is the same material as the older models my answer is YES problem still persist..but as you problaby know you have the choice of the stainless steel ring here at Jerry's store.

the ware ring is a ware and tear part, just be careful what u ride over!

From my experience, the wear ring issue is all caused by the bearings. 30-40 hrs it starts eatting the ring.

I had almost 100 hours on my '04 with a Solas and never had a single problem. I'm thinking it might be more about sucking stuff up. I was super careful not to start it in waters less than 5 feet deep. Rode in clear, clean water...but that's just me but I think it attests to the longevity of the wear ring.

bustercherry, when you get the RXP-X, let us know how it compares to your old RXP.
