RIVA thermostat, Has anyone tested? What were your results? And do you think it will be a part of Riva's stage 3?

Yeah I'm running it with a 50/50 mix to keep that the same as before. So far I see very, very minimal heat fade (at most 50rpms over the course of an entire day)...As the summer heats up and nears 100 i may end up with a 60/40 mix but for right now I notice a significant difference.

I installed it when the weather was cooler but even then I was easily seeing 100rpms lost over the course of a day so i can only imagine how much worse that would be when it's actually hot outside...

My suggestion though just for simplicity's sake would be to pony up the extra cash and get the rotax one...It's very easy to screw up while installing the Riva one (as the locking ring does not want to go on) and end up having ot buy a whole new thermostat anyways...

All you have to do to get the locking ring on the FIRST TRY is to bevel the top outer edge of the housing so it seats evenly. My ten year old son could do it!

It takes about five minutes by hand with a file or less than a minute with a bench grinder.
