    PSI pipe

Well I got the pipe out of our donor boat and have been searching for info on it and found this-http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=30397. Good info on the hose routing but what about jetting? I also want to install some Boyesen reeds I bought off of Crazy A a while back. I've got Boyesen's tuning procedure but will the pipe neccesitate a jet change? Also, Keddano mentioned something about disconnecting a gray(?) wire in the CDI to gain some RPM. Anybody know anything about that?
    Thanks for any info guys.

Will definately require a jet change. How much depends on what else you have or are doing to the ski. I believe Xlint could put you in the right direction on that one.

As for the wire, I believe that is only on the 785pro CDI. Cant remember what color, but it is the wire that loops back into the CDI and is about an inch long.

I think the grey wire is just overheat,,low-fuel(depends on the year)limits rpm mode wire...
if you got the pro 785 cdi it would be the yellow/black wire that is in a loop you can cut for 200 more rpm
and as jonjon said ---any pipe changes MAY/WILL require jetting-not so much just with reeds maybe a turn of the needle or so BUT with both i'll bet you need some mo FUEL
OHHH please remember unless i say "THIS IS FACT" everything from me is OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL

Sealion-The 780 CDI is good to 6700 plus 200 more with the yellow and black wire clipped?

Going to check the stator, coils and timing again in a little while.
Anything else when I get in there? Thanks

Here's the discussion on my PSI Ski when I had the 780 CDI in it.

Yep,I did,and it picked up about 200 R's. I'm putting it back into the SLT750 when I rejet the carbs and put on the O/P's.

XLINT,Give us your knowledge on this subject when you come on tonight.

Not much to say, she'll need much bigger jets most likely. F/A's, reeds, PRO CDI and .25mm OS 750 with the PSI dry pipe requires 122.5 MAG and 120 CEN ans PTO I believe on mine. Check out the projects section under "her ride" for my complete mods.

Also depends on your impeller. What size do you have?

Pretty sure its stock 12/17. I know its a Polaris part#. I shoulda verified that when I had it apart for stator change. What do you think about Gorilla's 14/23 SOLAS for this set up?

I'm assuming this is on your SLT 780? A 12/17 will rev real high with that impeller on it. On my modded 2 seater (compareable to 780 HP) a 13/18 will turn 67-6800 RPM. But your ski is bigger and would prob be a good impeller choice for you if you pull passangers. You'll need to watch your piston wash for sure, but start richer and work your way smaller on jets. Gorilla's impeller may be good if you ride solo and want top speed performance. It may be a little tall for a 3 seater that pulls passangers.

Don't take this as fact, but a good place to start I think would be with 120 main and 75 pilot for a SLT 780. That should be somewhat close without being real lean.
