    Aftermarket Intakes? Worth it?

If anyone has the riva or r rated filter kits can you enlighten me. I heard the stock one is pretty good. Do the aftermarket ones increase speed/acceleration. they're pretty pricey if they dont add much. i read Skips testing on the filters and he said there isnt a difference from stock to aftermarket. i think i read that right. it was the teammoto website. I'm not wealthy enough to "try and see". Thanks

Ben stay tuned here. Some guys are making their own at super cheep prices.

The one I found to match the Stock or just a bit better was the R-Rated Unit.

This is a sweet set up we developed with R-Rated last year and R&D helped inprove on it with a power filter add on.

This is going to be the new kit we use on all our boats that have a hood set up.

You might want to reread post #3, I think there is a special hood that is going to have to be used for this to work well, as a stock hood is sealed pretty much.

    Ya got it Harry.

This filter kit is R-Rated Pro Line system that reqiures the MaccRacing Hood set up.

Rumors that riva filter takes in water?

  10. #10
That aint no rumor. RIVA makes 2 different Air Intake systems. The one that has taken on water was the Pro unit that takes air from the outside of the hull.

Riva's Performance Air Intake does not have the ability to take in water as it sits behind the ECU where its safe and dry.
