    Ultra 150 wet rear plug!

My mates ski is a 2000 ultra 150 with 130hrs, runs like a charm, does not miss a beat and is damm fast, the proplem is after a good ride we stop for drink and smoke for about 20 mins, finding when he goes to start it it struglles to start as if the ski was dead cold. Only once did it start using the choke again but the next weekend we went out we stoped on a beach where alot of boats pass you on the go.
Once again it would not start, this time we pulled the plugs and found the rear plug had water on it , so my Q is can the water get back up though the exhaust and into the rear cylinder? Kawaski have no idea on this problem.

Not likely that it came through the exhaust. First thing to try is a compression test. It could have a bad head gasket, cracked head, or cylinder. If that checks out take it out and run it with the seat off. Look for leaks, particuarly arround the drive shaft seal. If that is bad it can spray so much water that it hits the bottom of the flame arrestor and gets sucked in the engine. Give that a try let us know what you find.
