WOODY's dual water pressure guage setup!!!

Engine water pressure and tunnel pressure guage install:

Its important to monitor your engine water pressure and pump tunnel pressure.I found a way to do both with one guage:Talked with Lowell and 25 psi engine pressure is about the max you want.Any more than that and your asking for water intrusion through the gaskets.Water will find the weak link under extreme pressure.

On my triple pipe water cooling, there is a billet flange that has a 5/8 and 3/8 cooling line coming into it and 6-3/8 line that come off that to cool the heads and pipes.I will tap into one of the 3/8 lines, past the billet flange with a 3/8 'T',then towards the guage.I will do the same thing and tap into my pressure relief line, right before the Jetworks valve, with a 'T' and take that line towards the guage. Now i have 2 lines at the guage.I will install a 3/8- 1/4 turn on/off valve in both lines. They will then run into a single 'T' and into the guage.

Simply turn off the pump pressure valve and open the engine pressure valve to monitor engine water pressure.Turn off the engine pressure valve and open the pump relief valve to monitor tunnel pressure.

Fuel guage is installed on the right and water pressure on the left.I used the factory oil filler piece and opened the inner diameter to recieve the guage. It looks clean!

Thanks Jim.I also use liquid filled guages in case there is a spike in pressure.

You could also use an old fuel selector switch for the factory look.
