    Open cooling system question

I have found a blocked cooling system tube on my 03 GTX DI. In the cooling diagram below the block is located in tube number 1 and is located towards the jet pump. It is stuffed full of sand, about 30cm back from the pump.

Which way does the water flow trough this pipe? I am going to try and pull the pipe off at the engine side and try and flush it out towards the back. But I am not sure if I will be able to get it due to its location

Can anyone tell me the direction of water flow? Where is the primary water intake?

Sorry my bad! The 1 that is next to 47. Runs from under the injection rail to the right of the jet pump when looking from back.

    Thanks.

that is the primary engine cooling inlet hose, clear that sucker out ASAP

the other in line that sits to the left of #1 is another cooling in line, for the mag cover and the exhaust system it splits at #40, I would check that line for sand also.

do you ride in sand water or beach the ski a lot, I would stop beaching it then.

Yea I ride it in the ocean and beach it. I only took the ski out twice since I got it, so I dont know how long the block has been there.

I am getting an anchor this weekend for it, so no more beaching the ski.

Do you flush it on the hose after riding? I would think if your getting a blockage there that it doesn't get flushed much and the sand is building up.

It gets flushed after every use. However it was beached for a long time and hence the sand in the cooling line. All had been cleaned and I got an anchor for it now, so no more beaching.
