    No Spark

Today while riding Pirate hit some waves and his ski died,When we got back checked it out,no spark. He took on some water in the compartment thru the thru-hull fitting on the driveshaft. We open up the electric box and it was wet. Shoot it with Contact Cleaner, And checked the connections and still had no spark. We didn't have a Ohm meter to check things, just a test light. From looking in the manual it said there should be juice on the Brown wire that feeds the Hall Effect picksup from the CDI when Cranking and running,We didn't have any juice there. Any thoughts. The battery is fully charged.

Swap out the voltage regulator from the other TX and see if that helps.
Remove the electrical board and get the water off the back of it.
Pull the stator cover and make sure it's not full of water.
How does the stator check out?

Remove the electrical board and get the water off the back of it.We did pull it and hit it with the Electrical Cleaner. It was nicely cover with the factory grease.
Pull the stator cover and make sure it's not full of water. So it should be fully pulled? Thought maybe it was sealed well enough that the water wouldn't make it in.
How does the stator check out? We need a meter,Pirates picking one up tomorrow.[/quote]
Funny, that the hammer didn't fix it.

You're right, check the values of the stator first. If they are poor, the cover has to come off to see what's going on.
For some funny reason I think the timing pick up melted or the stator went south due to water at the electrical box.
