Canyon Lake, AZ reopens.

Canyon Lake will reopen for recreational use on Saturday, with safety warnings in effect for boaters, Tonto National Forest officials said.
There have been temporary access restrictions at the lake since September because of the SRP drawdown.
The restricted area stretched from Mormon Flat Dam and Horse Mesa Dam, prohibiting motorized boats and vehicles, said Art Wirtz, Mesa district ranger.
The lake is littered with heavy sediment and floating logs from recent floods.
The high levels of sediment run a risk of motor burn-outs for boaters, Wirtz said in a statement. Officials are hoping for high winds to push the logs to shore so they can be removed.
A grand reopening of the lake is planned for March 1, at the Canyon Lake Marina, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We have a few folks, including Pistonwash, Insandiego Joe, and his son, rollin5150, myself, Zmann and a few others headed to Canyon Lake tommorow from around 10am or so. We are going to the first boat ramp at the cove. Give me a holler if you have questions on location, etc..
I expect we'll have 2 conversions, a couple of xl's, a pro785, a SXR, virage tx and a xlt.
