    Impeller removal tool question

How many splines and what are the dimensions for the tool, used on an '05 RXT?

Okay...so I have the wrong removal tool.

    Here's a thought...

I place the pump back onto the ski and simply use the 12mm allen wrench when the drive shaft is holding the impeller.

    Thoughts?

IS there a difference in the Sea Doo and Solas impeller tools?

the solas is shorter........you have to remove the nose cone to use it.....it's black.........seadoo tool is longer and a brassy color

Dave, it sounds like you have this worked out now, but I have one you could borrow remember I'm just up the road!! I hope you get your pump sorted out! Let me know if something comes up.

Well...GH says..."Don't be an idiot...you'd turn the motor and still wouldn't have that nut on tight enough."

The truth....the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

    Thanks everybody.

you could hold the prop with the allen wrench
    then start the ski...
doesnt the engine tighten the prop when it spins???
or even better jam your hand into the pump to hold the prop REALLY tight, then crank it over...
    hehehehe
btw these are tricks performed by professional seadoo mechanics only, do not attempt unless you are supervised by a certified seadoo mechanic.

You can always jam your wifes/gh handbag in the prop, I am sure this would work, and cost a lot more than a $34 tool.
