What block off for my rxp

What block off kit should I use for my 06 rxp. I don't race I just want better handling.

    block off

If you are speaking of OPAS block-offs, I would go w/ pro block offs. I used the regular because I am more into drag not so much handling. I have read and heard MUCH better things for handling on the pro blockoffs, as they extend to the rear of the hull and block off the indented area.

    Spring for the pro's.

how would you describe the difference in handling and feel with the stock paddles removed?

They are worth every penny. If you go with the regular blockoffs the RXP will porpoise (bounce up and down) at top speed.

    Steve

That's great to know as I just installed my regular blockoffs...looks like I will be offing those and going to RE's myself. I just figured if I wasn't too worried about great handling why spend the extra dough...

Whistler..... I tried using the standard cheap block offs. They were off almost as fast as they went on. I was bouncing all over the place. The ride at top speed kinda sucks when you are porpoising all the time.

As for the ride. Once you take the opas off, it's like unhooking the ski from draggin an anchor. Seems like the OPAS creates a great amount of drag. At the spot I ride, I do my speed passes and when I come up stream on the creek I end the run right at the beginning of a no wake zone. I used to just let off the throttle and the ski would stop near the the no wake buoy. The first time I tried the run with the opas off I let up on the throttle the same spot I used to and ended up about 50 feet into the no wake.

They take some time to get used to. It's like learning a new ski all over again, but its worth it.
