    Damn Fault Code P1160

Everytime I punch the gas all the way down on my 07 RXP stage 3 and keep it there for like 20 secs I keep getting this damn fault code P1160 and then it goes away when I start slowing down and my coolant fluid overflows. Does anybody out there seen this before? I already checked my open loop system and intercooler and they are ok..... I have a strainer on it too.

Did you ever happen to swap out your thermostat to the 158 degree one?

Did you ever happen to swap out your thermostat to the 158 degree one? I am wondering if your hoses are crossed?

Yes I did it a year ago when I installed the stage 3 on my ski but never had any problems with it till now that it is given me this code at full throttle...(p1160).... I havent performed any work on the ski lately it has been running perfect till now...

So the performance is not affected at all, just the code comes up and a little coolant or a lot?

Yeah code comes out, coolant tank overflows, and then if I keep running the ski hard the skis goes into limp mode . I let it idle for like a minute and then it starts working fine. Only happens when Im full throttle for like 1 minute.... if I go full throttle for just 20 sec it does not do that... ...Ive cheked the entire open and close loop system already and nothing is clogged or dirty.

Have u tested for a head gasket leak into the cooling system?

it sounds like exhaust gas getting into the coolant at high rpm.
