Damn, that sucks. Do you ride in salt water? If so do you flush it after every ride?

Yeah, salt water don't like aluminum too much. Gota flush after every ride. Keep an eye on yours then and let us know how it holds up over time. I think you'll be fine so long as you take care of it. I've put 20hrs on mine and no problems, but I ride in fresh water only and it's CLEAN fresh water. I winterized it this year, blew all the water out and put some non corrosive antifreeze in because I didn't feel like messing with the damn pipes again in the spring. So we'll see how she holds up.

Never said it was....just a lot cheaper to fix. And considering this is the first one that I've heard of, well ya know....... Seems like Riva hasn't stood behind their's too well. So $1K hasn't meant much for quality, then you have to spend another $1K for a new one of theirs.

    RXPkid, Hi Bro!

my point is not to bash the XS, just simply say that even the low dollar units can have failures regardless of use or care.

I don`t want to promote or cause a bashfest. I think it was just a matter of time before we heard of a failure, and thankful to the member who brought it to our attention!
