X models Free Flow Exhaust Kit - Riva

I remember when I had the '04 and buying the free flow exhaust kit that consisted of a straight aluminum pipe. This same product for the X models has a bend in it. For $85, and I hope I'm not out of line, but I think I spent too much for the straight one years ago and now this one has a bend but how hard would it be to get one for like $20 made? Anyone plan on doing this?

Buy a u-bend in stainless or aluminum and cut it in half right at the radius. Done deal.

Damn...meeper brings up a good point though because I'll want to get the better tubing with the relocation kit. Well at least going cheaper with a do-it-myself it won't be too much money lost. How important will not having the flared ends be on the budget one I'll make?

look at jerrys w/b, all the pics i have seen there is no flange on the tubing, i would just make sure the clamps are tight.

That eBay link was a great suggestion. I'm sure the flared ends are not necessary but with steel I can clamp harder and not worry about denting the pipe when clamping. I just need to know the dimensions of that Riva piece. Diameter and length.

My generic IC plumbing came with that exact same PIpe.

Anyone want to buy it! I'll give it to you cheap and send two T-bolt clamps with it.
