College advice needed!
I've been accepted to
University of Arkansas (in same town im in now)
what do u think?
Is it real important to leave home sort of or what? What would you have done differently? Majority of my friends are staying here. No one im tight with is going to Boulder and one of my best friends is going to Kansas.
I'm looking for those who are in school or those who went for just advice. I'm prob going to go in for environmental or civil engineering.

Well, which school has the best program for your major? That should be the deciding factor.

How do the various programs rate and what can you afford?

Which one offers you the best curriculum to satisfy your potential major? Along with outside activities? Are you able to tour the campus? how close is the campus to major highways and/or airports when you need to get home...
If they are all the same, just pick the one Playboy recommends

honestly, I have been to boulder, and live in Lawrence..
Both are cool places. Really mellow places... Lawrence is like Boulder in a lot of ways. Boulder has a lot of things we don't. We have things that they don't.
There are 2 lakes equal distance from KU campus. Boulder, I don't know. I know a guy that lives in Boulder and when we went there.. it was great! It is like a valley town as I recall.. the downtown is closed off to cars, so it is all walking which is really cool!
I would as people have said, see which is a better fit for you.. tour each one, which one fits you best, go with it..
but common consider KU basketball
Ku basketball=soon to be national champs

Money isn't really a factor to be honest. CU would be awesome because of the skiing and mtn biking. I also have fam in denver..it is a 13 hour drive from home though. But all 3 of those schools have solid engineering programs. It almost seems silly to drop an extra 30k a year to be up in the mountains compared to just staying in arkansas but i think i need to get out of here.
