need assistance in lakeland/Winterhaven FL.
I have a friend who's 2003 GTX SC has apparently blown the SC. Ski only runs 48mph; pump, prop, fuel all checks ok he says. I need either a board member to hook up with him and pull the sc and check it out, or a name of a dealership that "actually knows what they are doing"..........
My buddy has limited tools and mechanical sea-doo experience, but he's not an idiot, just likes to ride. I'm about 900 miles away or I'd do it.

TLR, I'm in Columbus and but can't really recommend any dealer in town, that's why I bought from a dealer near Cleveland. Jerry or Glen would be my choices, but eventhough the '03s have metal washers, the drive gear seems to wear and has a list of close to $400. With the '03s they use the '06 rebuild kit (shaft, bearings, seals, etc.) and use the '06 metal washer kit. It seems like you should just be able to buy a couple $2.00 packs of the shims and call it a day. The '03s also have that extra exhaust plumbing that really fills up the hull and makes getting the SC out a little harder
Where's the ski located in Ohio? ... Ron
