Mounting the Grab Handle to the Seat

Has anyone mounted their grab handle directly to the stock seat, to create a single peice.

The reason why im asking, is that i just got my race seat, and i would like to be able to switch to my stock+grab handle, when i give someone a ride.

if attaching the handle to the seat can't be done. You can try this method. Quick release cam locks. Quarter turn and the whole thing comes off, and you can use existing holes. Have the whole handle off in less than 20 seconds.

    Just a small update.

ive managed to get the seat catch and pin adjusted for a perfect fit on both the oem and the race seat. (both the oem and the race seat have their own catch)

Ive added small towers on the exsiting grab handle bolts to help carry the grab handle's weight + full adult. (incase i have someone sitting / pulling on the grab handle).

I need to do a "small" reinforcement on the seat to carry the load of the grab handle and a persons weight... more on this later.

everything is prepped and ready, so if dont get delayed again, itll be complete along with a bunch of pictures.

Heres the progress with my old test grab handle.

Seat has been re-inforced with 2-4 layers of 400gram carbon fibre. (4 layers where it counts , 2 to spread the load )

This is my final test fitting.

Almost a perfect fit, ill do the final tweaking with my brand new grab handle.

The intergrated seat+grab handle is now able to take my entire weight.

The completed version will be able to take 2 adults sitting on the grab handle

And the seating will now accomodate 3 people.

This project will be completed tomorrow and ill write up a how-to.

Heres what the area looks like without a seat.

Note, ive removed 3 washers from the tower to allow for a closer fit, since the pic was taken.
