    Pump Kit Install

I've looked on the search but can't find this one. I've just received my R&D pump seal kit. I knew it would look like a jigsaw, but it's normal to have a picture to help, and there ain't no pic! Is it that obvious where all the bits fit in, or should I be aware of some tricky bit that I wouldn't know about? Cheers for your help. DW.

If the pieces that sit on top are too tall, you MUST sand them flat. If they prevent the shoe from sitting level, it will scrub speed and cause other quirky handling issues.

Install them, and then use a wire brush to sand the rubber flat.

Thank's guys! It all makes sense now I've seen pics. I hate going into a job and having to guess what to do, and it saves time having a good idea of what goes where when it's all opened up!

Do you have to remove the pump to do this?

Just done the pump seal kit on my XL1200LTD. The shoe comes off the bottom of the ski without removing the pump on mine.Maybe it's different on other models, but on mine I just removed the 6 bolts (4 large and 2 small) and off the shoe came. Took about 1 hour from start to finish.

Just to clarify... you can remove the shoe with out removing the pump... but if you are sealing it with 4200/5200, you will need some room to work.
