hey guy's is 1 degree of pitch worth 100 rpm's? I am turning a 10/ 21 at 7650 and want to get to 8100 to 8200? I was going to order a 13/17 what do you think?

1 DEGREE... IS ALOT OF DIFFERENCE
now if u said .5-1 millimeter = 50-100 rpms, that would be more suitable.
your 10/21 is a stock impeller i take it??

I when I had a stage one I put on a 14/19 and it put me at 7800 7850. Then went to a 14/17.5 and I was at 8100.
Not sure if it would work but that is
1.5 degrees = 300.
So .5degree =100 rpm if my case was universal

Yes the 10 / 21 is the stock prop. So after talking to some guy's I thought I would go to a 13/ 18 and try that. I want to be around 8100 to 8200. And with the stocker 10/ 21 I'm at 7650 now.

why don't you call SOLAS and tell them their website is terribly outdated, and ur looking for their recommendations on a prop for your boat and see if they will help you get it dialed in by trialing a few props or something since you are exploring unknown territory.

somefun...In talking to Glen @ skat he recommended either a 13/17 or 13/18. If my 13/17 is to not steep enuff I will play with the trailing edge till I get where I need to be. He felt pretty confident in the leading edge pitch so I think 13/18 is a good place to start. Too bad you have 2 mouths to feed or we could share props and see what works best for both of us :P

I think your right I also talked to Glen and ordered 2 13/ 18 three blades he said about 2 weeks. I may call him and change it to 13/17 I don't know if I can get 500 rpms out of the 18. 17 may be closer and save some time.
